Aftercare Tips

  • It typically takes about two weeks for the surface of your tattoo to close over and for the initial peeling to finish.

  • Your tattoo will naturally transition from a fresh wound to a thin, sunburn-like peel that reveals new skin underneath.

  • While the surface looks healed in a few weeks, it actually takes several months for the deeper layers of skin to fully regenerate.

  • Even after the peeling stops, your tattoo may look shiny or feel tight, so it's vital to keep up with moisturizing and UV protection.

  • It is completely normal for a fully healed tattoo to occasionally feel raised or itchy even years later as your body reacts to the pigment.

  • Staying healthy and hydrated is the best way to ensure your tattoos look vibrant and feel great for the rest of your life.
